Die-Ins Take ProLife Action to the Streets: Camp 2013

When I stand up, I want people not to see me – but the plight of the preborn.

When I speak, I want people not to hear my voice – but the voice of the preborn, and their mothers, abused by abortion.

When I ask for help, I want people not to hear my need – but the need of my nation, bled dry, dehumanized, calloused, by the killing of defenceless children.

______________

If someone told you they were a pilot, you'd ask them: Where do you fly? How many flights?

Right?

If someone tells you they're pro life, do you think to ask: What do you do? Where do you defend life?

At camp this year, our prolife leaders-in-training have asked again and again to perform one of the most affecting, stark demonstrations of the results of abortion in the United States. It is a signature display of Survivors. It paints the pavement with the message: 1/3 of our generation is gone.

It is a Die-In.

Survivors is in essence a youth organization -- and youth are activist by nature. They want to do something. They have energy; they have hope. And Survivors equips them with the tools, and educates them with the necessary information to take that passion into the streets.

We are the youth of a nation torn apart by the lie that a woman, a mother, can kill her child and be empowered by the evil choice.

Our campers have given their voices and lives for two weeks to say:

When I stand up, I want people not to see me – but the plight of the preborn.

When I speak, I want people not to hear my voice – but the voice of the preborn, and their mothers, abused by abortion.

When I ask for help, I want people not to hear my need – but the need of my nation, bled dry, dehumanized, calloused, by the killing of defenceless children.

And a concrete activist illustration of that is the Survivors Memorial Die-In, in which dozens of young people drop to the ground in a public place, and lie motionless while their outlines are chalked like a crime-scene, and a leader on a megaphone speaks the facts of our hidden holocaust: Each one of these young people represent over 1 million killed since 1973; 1/3 of our generation has been wiped out; abortion rips babies limb from and emotionally and physically tears mothers apart as well.

We are survivors. Over 56 million American children have been killed since 1973.

Watch this powerful demonstration of street activism by Survivors Camp 2013 in Venice Beach, California.

And when someone asks you if you're pro life: What will you say you've done ? How many prolife actions have you taken?
