Jeff White, Founder/Executive Director
After ten years of inspiring tens of thousands of Americans to join him in the streets to protest abortion through his leadership in Operation Rescue, Jeff White founded Survivors in 1998. Survivors met the unique need for a prolife youth organization to reach the generation that had suffered the most from the evil of abortion. Jeff has been arrested almost too many times to count in his emphatic defense of the preborn and continues to be willing to sacrifice his freedom for the lives of the most vulnerable. Jeff’s life is dedicated to standing up for the preborn and to discipling young people to engage their culture with the message of the sacred value of all human life. He and his wife Janis have been married for 34 years and are blessed with 11 children and nine grandchildren.
Cheryl Conrad, Co-Founder/Director of Operations
Cheryl has been active in pro-life ministry since 1988 when she faced the truth of her own abortion and dedicated her life to fighting for the preborn. From working at a pregnancy resource center and opening up her home to women in crisis pregnancies, to organizing and leading local and national pro-life events as she ran the Orange County chapter of Operation Rescue, Cheryl has worked diligently to end abortion. During the 1990s, Cheryl developed a team that visited every high school in Orange County, California, with the truth of abortion, the pre-cursor to the current Survivors Campus Outreach. Cheryl continues to fulfill the vision of Survivors as she leads the organization, ensuring that an increasing number of young people join the ranks of active voices for the voiceless.
Joe Story, Director of Community Outreach
Joe Story is a Christian/pro-life apologist, theologian and recording artist dedicated to ending the abortion holocaust in America. He travels with the American Renewal Project equipping pastors to stand for biblical values in the public square. He is the founder of We Are Watchmen, a Christian and politically conservative group that uses contemporary music as part of a subversive strategy to fight the statist secularization of American youth through the hard left agenda of the U.S. public school system. Joe recognizes the pro-life movement as the primary social reform movement in the world today.
Lauren Handy, Graphic Design & Activist
Unashamedly pro-life, Lauren confronts the culture of death head on! Using her skills in graphic design, she protests against abortion through Survivors' website and social media. When not hunkered down behind a computer you'll find Lauren in front of Planned Parenthood; boldly living out the command in Proverbs 24:11.
Maria-Jose Olmos, Director of Hispanic Outreach
I was born in Santiago, Chile, May 1993 and but before that four American doctors diagnosed me with Down Syndrome and many deformities and told my mom her life was at risk because of a tumor growing in her uterus. My mother and I survived the surgeries and as a new friend told me "we were chosen to be born...to give life to the defenseless." I was the founder and president of the pro life club at my university, saved many babies from abortion, and I am now a full-time missionary for Survivors Hispanic Outreach. In my heart I know that surrendering my life so that others may live is the greatest love we can share.
I am inspired everyday by Blessed Mother Teresa's life: "We must remember that life begins at home and we must also remember that the future of humanity passes through the family."
